Angelo Moreno
Orchestra Director & ALTO Advisor
Award-winning orchestra director currently directing six orchestras in the Davis Joint Unified School District and the Sacramento Youth Symphony. Under his direction, the DHS Symphony Orchestra and Holmes Junior High Advanced Orchestra have been named “Best Classical Ensemble” in the nation. In addition, the Davis High School Baroque Ensemble is the first high school baroque orchestra in the United States.
Angelo Moreno serves as an Advisor for ALTO and directs our Tutor Training Sessions.

Madeline Mitchell
Violin Soloist
World class British soloist, Royal College of Music professor, Grammy and BBC Music Awards nominee, and Artistic Director of the Red Violin Festival. She has soloed in over 50 countries, has premiered dozens of British contemporary pieces, and studied at the Royal College of Music, Juilliard, and Eastman School of Music.

Richard Webb
Cellist
Pioneer in the early music revival movement and founding member of The Academy of Ancient Music (AAM) and The English Concert (EC), the first two baroque ensembles in the UK since the 18th century. Has performed with the AAM and EC in dozens of countries around the world.

Jazz Saxophone
Taiwanese American Jazz talent who has played alongside our generation’s top musicians including Bob Mintzer, Larrn Schneider, and Bob Sheppard. Instructor at National Taiwan University, CSU East Bay, and Stanford Jazz Workshop. Graduate of USC Thornton.

Luthier
Luthier specialized in both modern and baroque instruments including the violin family, viola da gamba family, viola d’amore, and viola da spalla. Also a specialist in baroque conversions, instrument restorations, and instrument repairs. Member of the UC Davis Baroque Ensemble.
